May I comment?
or more accurately do you WANT me to comment? LOL
Ready or not here it comes....
For a child's picture it is a little dark. Now the night sky etc can be dark in the sense of it is night but the picture itself is not dark if you understand what I mean. I think the problem is the vignetting you have used.
Your stars look more like snow than stars - what are you using to create them because I can suggest trying THIS plugin for realistic stars (or go as fanciful as you like as well).
I also think the moon should be a touch lighter/brighter. A full moon is BRIGHT.
But having said all that ... brilliantly done!
May I ask what you use for the grass? I can't get grass looking that!
Hey Diddle Diddle .... Angie - a charming composite, nicely concieved and executed. I have a couple of composite shot coming up over the next couple of days!

and the dish ran away with the spoon
what a cracker !
i dont think its dark at all in fact the moon comes out at night (wouldnt look right on a sunny bright day)
this would work perfectly in a childs nursery book as an illustration.
keep it up your works a joy to watch
looking forward to what you bang out in 2010
Quote: I really think this is great. I had different feelings from it than Mikkx so therefore I did not see the reasons for his critisism.

hey mavis
mikkx is a lady !!
I understand Michaelas point of view and it does depend on how you view this type of image. Nursery Rhymes are by their very nature, dark (as in mood) apart from this one which is great fun and nonsensical. With regard to the point on the stars I think it is important to realise that this is a composite of several images pieced together to make one composition and feel the stars add a sense of movement and add to the charm factor of this image and I just don't think the Glitterati plugin would have worked here.
There is a real innocent charm in this.

hmm can i just say thank you all for your comments , some interesting points of view have been made , this image was put together by my self and my 7year old daughter molly , we dream images together at bed time , like i guess fairy books , only we create our own take on them, this image is the out come of just 2 minds playing .. innocence at its best, technical .. plays its part , but you carnt beat innocence , its just fun to us , it is as it is , we like it .. thanks anyway to all . angie x
Fantastic work/image Angie - great to see you up-loading again !
