Taken in Trinidad, Cuba; it was about midday and it was incredibly hot and humid. Trinidad is on the Caribbean coast (south) of Cuba (the north coast being the Atlantic) and is a beautiful old colonial town, some of which has been done up. Unfortunately it was the most touristy place we came across, full of people selling stuff you really don't want...
Thanks for looking.
Ann

Gry has said exactly what I would say: although limited in content, and that's not a criticism, this shot does give a very good flavour of the area. Well spotted and crisply captured image, Ann.

People watching at it's best, Ann. Great timing to get the figure between those shadow lines, and well composed with the pole framing the left and the figure walking into space.... and you probably did all that instinctively.

Beautifully composed, using the vertical post to contrast with his slumped posture. I think I'd clone away that bit of green foliage peeping through top left, but it's a minor quibble.
I like the fact that this tells a very human story, while remaining anonymous - we have to imagine his face.

The slump, the saggy chain on the bike and the rising ground, who would not have the blues? Brilliant.

No old car as transport for this one Ann.
And the strangest item I was offered for sale was on holiday in Bulgaria.
He tried to sell me ONE drumstick.
And no,not a bit of chicken, but an actual drumstick !!

This is a great shot.

First off, a slice of (non-touristy) life from a place. I love candids and this is excellent, Ann.

Second, the light and colour are AWESOME.

And looking at the guy, you've captured the heat of the place too.

Bravo.

Andrew

PS Love the title Wink

Another simple slice of Cuban life, the dangling wires from the pole, the drooping shoulders and cycle chain, maybe a loose nut on the handlebars, judging by the foot. You have to wonder what's round the blue corner for this guy?

The tiny number plaque by reason or accident has become something to look for in this lovely quiet series. Well done Ann, good work in the heat of this marvellous place.

Dougie

What's not to like about this. Pity they don't look after their bikes the way they do their cars! Wink
