I've no idea what sort of foxglove this is, but I found it at Wisley when I was there in August.
Comments and/or criticisms and suggestions are very welcome. Thanks for looking and for your time.
Ann

Many thanks to Phil1963 - he's researched this and found it's called the Rusty Foxglove!! Nice name and definitely one for the RAS... so I've changed the titleSmile !!

Very well captured Ann, it looks a little like frost on the leaves. I like the background too. Nicely done Ann.

It certainly looks like a rusty foxglove.
And each flower seen head-on looks like a tiny bearded dwarf, his head thrown back in song!

I'm surprised most flowers haven't turned rusty this summer. Definitely a new one to me, Ann, and what a beauty it looks. The bg texture shows it off well, too.

You can get cultivated foxgloves which tend to be a tighter form like this one and vary in colours - this is a beauty and so very well detailed with all those little hairs catching the light.

A rather brilliant observational piece Ann, which you have gave the Foxglove you full attention, stunning detail, and a rather beautiful yet unusual colouring, which reminds me of delicious caramel rippled ice cream.
