When all your thoughts are with spring and the forthcoming summer, here is a shot to upset those dreams which I took last week in Assynt. In my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than the Scottish mountains snow-covered, so it had to be uploaded!
Thanks for your comments and for any criticisms and, as usual, for looking.
Have a good weekend.

Beautiful. But this makes me quite glad of my boring modern central heating...
Moira
Excellent composition, perfect exposure and focus.

...at least, after the emergency engineer has been - this morning, for example ![]()

As Walter states, this is perfectly exposed. Good work all round with a lovely composition.

Sparkling quality here Ann, never easy in snow I find.Pins sharp too, would I be right in thinking that Cul Mor is to the right of this old cottage?

Cul Mor is actually behind me here but I imagine it's the bothy you're thinking of at Elphin.
Has to be the same one Ann, my old memory playing games with me. Glad to see you had some great weather, snow & sunshine even for only part of the time is great.
I am so glad you uploaded this, Ann, 'cos it's gorgeous! Not just the beautifulness of the snow but that warm cosy-looking cabin there too ![]()
Ok...the caterpillar's pupa...I reckon it might be Wednesdayish before something emerges. That's partly wishful thinking on my part as well as an estimate ![]()

This is a breath of fresh air, Ann. So clean and crisp and inviting. Perfectly exposed despite all that lovely snow and bright sun. I can imagine being there.

Classic composition, expertly capture, Ann. The blue sky gives this a beauty that belies the coldness. Excellent image.
Dave
looks just wonderful ....
and snow the right colour ......
that is a stunning scenery indeed. the wee croft makes it so attractive as it enhances the contrast.
TBH, I had enough snow for this year with bursting pipes etc. but then you had a nicer scenery to go with it
A beautiful winter scene Ann, some poor folk in the North East and in Scotland are still experiencing snow in April! I'm thankful I live in the South West
