A lone tree near Les Graulges , Dordogne. A lone crow is struggling to survive in the harsh and frozen environment. Last winter we had ten days without ever getting above -10C not very nice but hte whole land became quite and serene.

taken on the way to work last February.
due to a glitch in the upload sytem this did not upload in the right size. I had put it up 2000x1000 in my PF, in the uploaded version the system had reduced it!!!
here is the right size

So evocative of a harsh winter, Annette: lovely cool composition, making my toes freeze as a I watch.
The vignette works very nicely here too.

A fantastic capture Annette, and that tree is so unprotected, it's amazing how they survive such extreme cold ... Carol Grin

Looked at all three and i like this one best, it's superb a bleak cold landscape but it works. About the Jays they are only 18 feet from my window and i have two at a time.

As the three appear in your portfolio, Annette, I like the one in the middle. However, I think I'd also like the third one without the sky.

Superb 'scape. Don
