A Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) feeding on the Alfalfa in the field near my motor shop. It was the one and only I saw this summer.

One of the most fascinating aspects to me is the angle at which the light hits the wings. We see the left wing in full light and see the right wing with an interesting back light.
VERY nice.
The milk, no sugar is perfect for this shot -- giving a late Summer look about it.
