How come??? I just happened to be on here the minute you posted this? lol I used to work at Birdsville and would recognise this anywhere, and it about 50 miles to the pub - that famous Aussie pub The Birdsville hotel, where I spent many an hour. Wonderful scene and so well shot. The POV is just fantastic in that wonderful light. The old snatch strap - you wouldn't be without it..Cheers and have a great weekend..Jo
Superb lighting and composition. A fantastic image.
Jill, Neill who had a somewhat heavier vehicle with less ground clearance turned around on what he thought to be perfectly safe even ground. It was soft sand. so he was in up to both axles. no way I could get him out with my Toyota (yes... I shouldn't admit this) by sheer force. somebody had given Neill and old snatch strap when he got stuck last. So I had my first go at it: you accelerate like hell , the strap stretches and the elastic effect give the stuck ute a hell of a scnatch, out it got.
Wonderful image, gorgeous light and great composition.

and you're right, sand tends to be grainy!
did you know how double sised sand paper was invented? someone tried to fry eggs right there!
How on earth did I miss this gem of an image. Superb comp and light and a great story to go with it. Nothing wrong with a Toyota 4wd ![]()
