Langdale Beck, near Chapel Stile....even the sun made a rare appearance for me !
Thanks everyone for your great response to 'Autumn Variations II'....with special thanks to Mini-Moo for your UA, much appreciated !!.
Now this is an excellent photo !! very well seen and taken !! Great stuff
Good lead in with the boulders and beck towards the bridge.
There is always so much to appreciate in your landscapes, Keith, and many could learn a thing or two by studying them: here the boulders on the river bank draw the eye into the scene, to the bridge with the characteristic form of the Pikes in the distance.
Exposure so well controlled too, with nice detail showing in the more shadowed areas of the image.
An image I'd have been happy to have found and captured myself.
What a beautiful composition, a superb image. Carol
its a cracker Keith!
It's a beautiful capture and I love the little bridge.
A low pov and excellent lead in along the rocks, Keith. The light on the Pikes pulls you under the bridge and on into the distance. Lovely composition.
The path gives a good lead-in to the bridge and the mountains beyond
It is the exposure and processing that makes this special for me. Peter
One of your best, Keith, super composition and the portrait format works great.
Not been on for a while just catching up, Love everything about this one.
Superb composition and very nice processing.
That time of year again with the sun I'm afraid. Great capture!

A wonderful if wild scene captured beautifully.
Cracking image, love the comp and mood here, nice one!
Wonderful image.................. great comp
great photo !
superb image great composition colour and light
A lovely picture taken from a good angle, wonderful detail.
The portrait format takes so much in to admire
from the boulders and path leading us in to the bridge
and beyond to the Pikes.
I also love the reflections in that beautiful water.
a silver light dances along the path and on across the river.
wonderful scenery and light expertly captured!
its a beautiful scene well captured.
Superb composition and excellent exposure. I tried and failed to get something of this standard when I was there. Top shot, Keith!
Wow Nik, one of your best IMHO! Lighting is subtle and beautiful, the quadruple lead in very effective, the bridge very well modeled by the angle of the light and finally the illuminated mountain in the background really pulls your eye on. So much depth and interest arranged in a very pleasing way.
The only formative suggestion I can think of is to try losing the top 1/3-1/2 of the sky since I think the adjusted proportions make the FG and bridge even more powerful.
It's a superb piece of work, well done!
Excellent capture beautiful colours & detail, Great lighting A1---------Milky
You have the exposure spot on, Keith...from the dark fg to the light sky. Good use of portrait format as well.
Sun?? Excuse me a mo, I'll have to google that
The pov colour and textures make this an excellent capture
The Lakes are just so beautiful in the right conditions, as you have here. Agreat image that shows off their beauty.
Wonderful location and image to match.
My sincere thanks to Mark, Cliff, Tony & Alun for your UA's.........I appreciate your thoughts.....Ta muchly !!.
Alan (Miles).......I've looked at your suggestion for cropping the top, & it works very well & creates a strong image...unfortunately it
also loses the tops of the LH trees which I prefer to retain !!........I'll have another look at this possibility when I get the time, & see
if I can incorporate those tree tops in a cropped version !!......thanks for your comments & idea....I'll see what transpires ??.
What a lovely place! Excellently seen and taken. A superb composition, great lead in with the path and boulders. A definite must for portait format.
Excellent image Keith - great detail and perfect composition - and a nice bit of light!
This is a cracker Keith, great lead in to a wonderful landscape and excellent processing.
Lovely composition, I lived in Chapel Stile for ten years and used to swim in the beck near this bridge. Thanks for the memory

The eye just gets invited in to this great image, lead in and composition spot on. - gary
Excellent work! Just amazing one! A huge number of awards proves it!
A nicely composed shot;reminds me of the bridge at Stair, looking into the Newlands Valley; 'cept you can't quite see The Langdales from there.
