I've been thinking about doing some hi contrast b&w images and this one sort of happened by accident tonight. I've been trying to work out a way to get a certain look and wondered if dirtying the hands might work, so out came the face paints, kids had been picking daisies on the way back from getting an icecream and one thing led to another and there you have it, like it or loathe it, the choice as they say is all in the click ;-0

Any comments very much appreciated.

Blimey! You've got the hands of a stevedore.

Crop may be a bit tight and I would've preferred more detail in the shadows of your right hand.

Still, I like it.

Its a very clever effect with the hands, K. It adds a different dimension to the shot without a great amount of manipulation. I have to say I'm not convinced that daisies work - maybe a rose or something less organic, perhaps. Excellent effort though and top marks for trying something different.

Interesting image K. It's not immediately appealing in the way that a lot of your photos are, but on the other hand it does make for more thought.

Works for me.

I like it - obviously the daisy stems are between the fingers, I'd have like them a bit less regimented.

Imaginative composition. The colourful daisies works really well on the B&W hands! Love it! Smile

How could anyone loathe this, K? Upto your usual standards in terms of inspiration and execution.

Brilliant and creative work!! Stunning line details in the palm. Would prefer the finger tips and thumb sharp too.. Excellent work nevertheless!!! Congrats, K!

(Looks like I have a little catching up to do!)

Love this. Plain & simple. Smile

Shows your usual flair for artistic composition, and the contrast theme works on two levels here for me. Firstly the standard light/dark level, but secondly the contrast between the dlicate daisy's and the rough appearance of the hands.
