now that's attitude.
hmmm 15 views and no comments, wonder why that is...
Lol, mine look tame by comparison!
Naa... she's not grumpy, just tring to look all moody & sophisticated. I've got a 10 year old grandaughter just like that!
thanks you two, 25 views and 3 clicks, good enough to open but not to comment or is there another reason...
lol! Thanks Jeff. K.
She doesn't look very enthusiastic, but it's a great portrait
Nope, she doesn't look grumpy K. A proper little model. Paul
Yep that's attitude if ever I saw it. Great portrait and I like the presentation on this one especially the placement of the title... very different.
Thanks all, OK should I be worried about 47 views?
brilliant as always
great shot very professional looking
Looks like attitude to me. Have no idea why not more clicks but 7 is a good number for us average boys and girls! As your not average I'll give you an 8th. You should be so hung up on clicks though K!
Oh by the way something in my head keeps making me look at her left hand and it seems to be out of proportion with the rest of the body. Guess because its nearest the lens.
*Edit* too slow 10 now!
Not at all just seems strange to me that its 'attractive' enough to open yet.... call me a suspicious ole twit but...
oh and she does have big hands, she's a great artist and is going to need those hands to push bicylces over painted canvas when she's older ;-0
i looked, and i liked. so have another heart from me.
not to keen on the very sudden 'dissapear into darkness' at the side of her head, but i like the overall look.
Thanks Chris, I cant see the sudden drop off on this screen, but I bet I will when I get to work, thats the trouble with different PCs :-(
lovley portrait great lighting
Brilliant portrait, love the lighting, is it natural?. Not going to comment on wether she looks grumpy..I have three boys and boys are always happy!!!lol..but I do have a grandaughter now so....
yep, one very large softbox off to the left of the image, thank you both for commenting, its appreciated. K.
Hi K, I looked and didn't comment or click at first mainly as I have seen so many good shots of her that you have done over the past year or so that they do not excite me as much as they would if I had never seen a shot of her done before.
I still like the pose and lighting and cant really fault the picture in anyway.
OK Chris, fair point, note to self to get a new model
Love the photo and I think Alex is growing up to be a stunner...but I always think that she looks a bit miserable (Alex, if you're reading this, please don't take offence) - there's certainly attitude there, but she always looks a bit like she can't wait to get away
Lighting's top notch btw. Good pose and I like that lovely long hair
Beautiful tones and lighting K.
lol Mel! I'm going to have to get her to work on those expressions. I have got a proper miserable one, 9 mins into a 10 min session came the first one, didnt get a second one as I called it a night, best way. Thanks for commenting and Mark too. K.
I wouldn't get too overly paranoid about the view/click/comment ratio, K.
I got a few shots in my portfolio that have about 10 clicks, but over 200 views, you're doing alright.
Great mood shot, lovely lighting/bg .
Great shot K, I had a look first too but didn't comment as no time before!
Love the lighting and the mood!! hahaha - attitude!!
Excellent portrait - caught the attitude well
I love the light, it's in all the right places.
excellent portrait with attitude well done.
Why am I always the only one to notice things like she has big hands! Crazy! Me that is. Oh well, at least your clicks have gone up a bit more eh K?
Great pre-teen attitude and good lighting and pose. I like the presentation and the title up the side.
Like the way you have presented this portrait.
. . . never been in a studio, but hey? this rocks LOL . . . .
Great lighting well taken.
Like the way you have presented this portrait.
Such a poignant reminder K - my 19 year old has just left home and there's a big hole left in her absence. I actually find myself yearning for those teenage tantrums!
This is a beautiful portrait and sums up all that is a teenager - very well taken. Am happy to give the RC.
Well, I once had one that had 3 clicks and 67 views and it was only halfway down the first page. I think that sometimes people don't know what to say. Maybe it doesn't 'do it' for them, but maybe they can't explain why. or they don't want to hurt your feelings or start a fight!
The light is good, the pose is good, there's plenty of 'tude. It does remind me of being a kid. My dad was a professional photographer and he used to TORTURE us for hours setting up shots! Uggh! Still, we have some good shots of us as kids now, that's for sure. And everybody loves them, as she will I hope.
Well, it works for me, so there you go....
Good luck with the next 9 years or so!
Lovely lighting, and not so grumpy, more like "all that"!
Yes, she looks miserable, as usual, but the expression works so well with this pose. Top lighting, interesting change to framing and great balance. Love it.
I'd say grumpy
The lighting is spot on, the eye contact is there and the pose works well.
Looks like the cover for her first album...some definite diva attitude in this one!
Apart from that 'fade to black area' as mentioned in earlier post it works really well. Likin' the new presentation style too...
Love the lighting and the pose,
And congratulations on your EC
Great lighting. -= Walter
Just wait till she's 23! Love it
Great attitude and pose / fab lighting and composition - good teamwork Congratulations K!
Superb attitude, beautifully photographed. Oh, to be able to do portraits like this.......!
Loads of attitude, fantastic image, you are so very good at these. Congrats on EC.
Oh blimey thanks Pete for the EC and to everyone for their kind comments. K.
attitude like that now?? how long til the teen years? good luck
lol! Another 3 years, actually she's a great kid, dont get alot of attitude from her at all, this is her in front of the camera, ever the little actress, bless her. K.
Ooo that scares me - the teenager and attitude bit! - thank god I've got a few more years till mine gets to that stage LOL!
With a look like that I would start to worry K and could I suggest a good lock on the door. I speak from experience here LOL.
Brilliant and well done on the awards.
Just goes to show you shouldn't get hung up on statistics!
I have one that has over 350 views and the grand total of 7 clicks! Am I worried?
I know, just I find it puzzling, but not to worry. Thanks for dropping by and commenting everyone. K.
Top quality here , love the pose . Works well with the black background.
Great shot. Beautiful use of light.
At least the horns haven't appeared yet. Mine's started breathing fire
Lovely portrait K.
(I'll have to lend you Max - he's always wanted a real black background and proper lighting)
Great shot K.
I'm starting to appreciate how good these are and how difficult they can be to achieve. Be great to look back on in a few years. Must try more myself!
Congrats on the EC
Agree with Rob here K,this is such an excellent shot, one i also find hard..so i appreciate more when i see one as good as this.A well deserved EC.
beautifull portrait. love her shaken-up hair. Not too found of the cropped hand.
The lighting is what makes this shot for me...gorgeous.
Lovely shot. My guess is that she's trying to emulate the perpetually glum look of fashion models.
Just excellent, K. Congrats on the EC.
Superb ! Late view, late click. Congratulations on EC.
Looks fab in the larger version, great lighting.
Been reading through..see you needn't have been concerned so soon on the click rate, a classy pic will sooner or later get what it deserves
lol her expression, im dreading daisy getting to this age! good work
Great lighting - was there any chance to get a smidge of backlight?
great shot - beautifully lit
Excellent Lighting K
Caught the attitude spot on!!
and i'd run away if i was you, very fast!!
great pic, and a well done to Alex!!
Thank you all so very much, my apologies for not thanking you all earlier. K.
Thank you Mr F
Nice work K.
This is fantastic K, she is such a natural model. YOu have a great talent for portraits.
Thank you both K.
Hi K and Alex,
This is such a super pose. I don't see grumpy, just posing. If it can work for Posh it can work for Alex. She poses very well indeed. Congratulations on the EC and thank for for the dedication xx
Good luck with your future plans.. I will email you shortly.
lovely lighting .... i like the frame
Thank you Jeanie, my apologies for the late reply, I had them fighting over who wanted to do the next picture, got a couple of stars I have Thank you Kevin also for your comment. K.
Love the lighting and skin tones, Stands out great from the dark bg.
Thank you K.
I really luv this, I would of closed the fingers because her hand looks big but if she was my child I would have a 20 x 16 on the wall. Well done.
Thank you Doug. K.
excellent shot!! great lighting
Training to be a woman. Brilliant.
I've got my first studio type shoot with lights today and I have no I dea what I am doing, so just scanning around to see what others do and ended up at your page because you usually give some info, what a lovely shot this is, and one softbox very large off to the left, I'll take this as a starting point I think because I have a black background too.
100 and counting mate... this child is great... as long as she gets handed back to MUM and DAD at the end of the day heehee
