This was my entry in the balance comp. I wanted to upload it here because I'm actually quite proud of how I achieved it. My original entry was pants and I had 12 hours left to get something decent. I asked a friend is she knew anyone that did ballet, she arranged for the local dance school to allow someone to pose for 10 minutes only (she was supposed to be working). I had to set lights up and photograph someone I'd never met, this was my very first photo 'shoot'. Nervous as hell but proud of myself. Thanks all that clicked it and congratulations to the winners and the entrants.

Nice shot.
Eddie.
Lovely shot K, I used to have a framed print very similar to this. You've done an excellent job in difficult circumstances.

Really beautiful tones and lighting. I like the effect a lot.
I wonder about a tad of black below the toes...or perhaps not; you probably tried it anyway.
Superb quality, K and a shot to be very proud of.
This is fantastic K!!!!!
You have every right to be proud of it, no matter how you acheived it!
Thanks all. Yes, Patricia I did try it but looked more like the feet were floating and I didnt have time to try anything else, I know its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and given a bit more time maybe I could have got it so, thanks all again. K.
Very well taken K been under pressure sometimes brings out the best in us all.
Take care

my only objection is that it just is soooo very edgy, sorry, (*,*)
It is funny how your eyes / brain can totally not see a photo until you need to. I never noticed this one although I do a quick sweep over your portfolio nearly every day.
I met a dance teacher who is going to tell her "girls" about me and I have been looking out for dance ideas ever since, this is one I would never have thought of but is so obvious at the same time.
The tones, the shoes, the balance. . .. it is all there.
Well done on this one!
Lovely picture K!
Blue light? or Tungsten film in daylight?
Would have tried with a tungsten light source that golden light would have been captivating..but as you said..you just had 10mins. This is excellent for 10 mins.
And hey! Thanks for the comment K. I really appreciate it.
Good day!
