I vastly underestimated the size of this place, and what a place! Planning only to spend a few hours here it was clear that it needed a whole day ... and comfy shoes! Not much opportunity to get just the right shot, just at the right time. Photographers with tripods came from nowhere.. just for sunset... this place comes alive then. No way have I come close to doing this justice, fabulous place and fabulous city.

If this doesn't do it justice then it must be some place ....this is fabulous!

oh it is! Saw it from the air when flying in and it was incredible then but on visiting, the sheer brilliance of the architect is astounding. My only disappointment was that being winter I guess there was lots of work going on around doing more work to a new lake and the pools opposite the hemisphere were not full.
Slightly taken aback or rather delighted by the fact that not one security guard stopped or questioned anyone with a camera, free to take pictures inside and outside the structures, amazing ![]()

Beg to differ. Wouldn't know how else you could have done it justice. Excellent capture.

So far, terrorists in Spain have had a clear preference for cars and trains, that might have something do with it...
Thanks everyone ![]()
There was security Conrad, security scans of bags on entry and very visible and alert guards but no one stopped anyone from taking pictures, for that I'm very grateful because it would have spoiled the whole visit.
Wouldn't have pegged this as yours, K.
Lovely work and congrats on the HC
Paul..
Just stunning and a well deserved HC.
Happy New Year K may 2008 be all you wish for.

Thanks very much everyone, quiet surprised at the response to this and an HC too. I have others but I've not looked through them all properly yet, might see if I can get one more out of this visit.
K.
