I couldn't understand the local objection to this, it is absolutely beautiful. I could have spent so many more hours taking pictures there.. the weather was far from perfect and so many people wanted to take pictures .. couldn't hog it for too long.
thanks for all your comments everyone ![]()

looks a bit here but doesn't bother me too much, especially after watching Damian Lovegrove lol but the original isnt, I know, its just a bit of faff to take it down and tinker just for epzland.
Fantastic image. I love the light and the colour that has been picked up in the shell. That has to be the fewest people I've ever seen on the shell.. whenever I get down there it is swamped with little kids!
And I agree about the shell... still wonder what all the fuss was about (its not like it is even on the main part of the beach).
Catapults come in useful
Believe me.. people were the biggest problem.. wind, rain, bright sun then dull light all far easier to cope with than people.. early morning or very late afternoon was the only time there were few people about... although a bit of a crowd started to develop on Sunday morning .. apparently lol
Miles and miles of flat coastline and the common reason for people not liking it... it spoils the view! Have they looked up the coast towards Sizewell lately I wonder!
More great lighting, colours, setting, composition etc excellent work
Looked at this from another screen yesterday and now I understand where Boyd was coming from, calibrated my monitor last night although dont think it was that successful but I can see where some detail has been lost on the bodice in the uploaded version.
How did I light it... a gift from above ![]()
K.
It was cloudy and the sun poked itself out occasionally, the shell reflected the light well.
Quote: very Damien Lovegrove
inspired to do outside portraits because of Damien and a great admirer of his work I was still hoping that this was actually me, rather than Damien though ![]()
Thanks everyone ![]()
It is definately you K; I dont think Damien has photographed a woman on that shell just yet, but to be able to imitate some of is style is no bad thing. I'm hoping to pick up some of that flare he has on a course of his next month... cant wait, I love his work.

Fantastic setting for this, don't know if it was your idea but I'm sure you can take the credit! Think you've proved you can do these location shoots.
Yes it was my idea, got loads of others too just waiting to things to be right and people to be right and off I pop.

Not yet I havent, one shoot does not nail it as done... this one was difficult in so many ways but there will be other hurdles to jump before I can say that I can do locations.
Thanks ![]()
This is an Absolute corker of an image , Love the use of the sculpture for the background, And the use of light is incredable i suspect its flash if so its perfect , The golden voil is lit beautifully as is the model
