There's a softness about this that appeals to me and I like the colour of the lighting (sorry don't know what that might be technically - but more yellow than white?}
Lovely big eyes.
An excellent portrait. The eyes add tremendous impact and I love the lighting.
a lovely portrait, great skin tone and eye contact.
What can I say, its really good...
A beautiful portrait. Introspective. Soft. Love the freckles!
This really stands out on the thumbs, those incredible eyes!
really hypnotic, her eyes seem to follow you!
Lovely portrait. Spot on.
Nice one kiddo, your on top form again! Love the warm lighting and diffusion, and you've caught her eyes incredibly well. Captivating. Think I'd try a tighter crop at the top, to take away some of that band of darkness and put Alex more in the centre
A lovely portrait which is so cute yet mesmersing with her eye contact (perhaps she will grow up to be a hypnotist!).
It reminds me of some recent wedding photos I took, one of the bridesmaids gave a similar look each time she looked at the camera which was so sweet on one hand but also spooky depending on your viewpoint.
hi k, a stunning portrait you must be proud
The lighting is very nicely done K, have a quick look at my mod :o)
I really like the clarity of this shot K.A bit too much "technique" shows through in the larger version though.
Does it for me. Stunning portrait, looks so natural.
i like the technique you used here. think it is soft and subtle enough. nice one
Lovey portrait, - gorgeous light and tone.
This is superb K, soft yet sharp eyes.
Awesome!! Beautiful lighting and composition.
Chris & Holli
Beautiful. She has really haunting eyes.
Kim and Mike
. . . . I don't know much about lighting or portrait tecniques,[ an area I need to work on] but this looks fine to me . . . natural light???
Not natural light no, two softboxes on 250 heads. Thanks for all the input on this one all K.
like the lighting too - it's almost overexposed but still retains skin details - very well done
Does have a bit of a yellow cast, or is it green? but it works very well though, love how her hair goes into the background ...amazing portrait K
This photograph has been Highly Commended by ePHOTOzine top funk dude.
YOUR VERY BEST K....PERSONALLY I THINK PETE WAS STINGY ON THIS ONE ...AWESOME SHOT .. No 1..class
LOL! They gotta be better obviously, thanks all. K.
That is such a clever and beautiful portrait.
Superb portrait K. Amazing lighting, top class.
such a beautiful portrait. wonderful lighting
Great expression and a real nice tones in this one. click
Thanks very much everyone. K.
Where did the green one go?
Oh - this is great K. It really emphasises the eyes to me. They just jump out of the page at you - very intense.
love the hairs curling around her neck and the rough texture on her lips - she almost looks like an extraterrestrial being
Love it - congratulations on a fabulous portrait. *click*
Superb portrait of a natural beauty. Beautifully photographed. Well deserving of the awards.
Great portrait! I clicked to view it in the large format and it opened to fill my screen just above her nose. It's a stunning discovery by chance.
Thanks very much everyone, Arthur it is so different large isnt it, thank you. K.
Beautiful shot, congrats on the award, well deserved! Spot on! Click!!!
Congrats on HC
Thank you both. K.
Inspirational as ever. The delicacy of the hair coming across the forehead works really well.
It seems to me that the lighting balance is just a little off though with the right being darker than the left.
The light was intentionally place to give that effect Jeremy, I've not quite got it right yet as I needed a bit more shade on one side, thank you for your comment its very much appreciated. K.
great lighting, the light being darker on the left describes the contours of her face
Thank you heather. K.
