Stunning portrait, has an almost surreal quality to it. Love those eyes.
Good portrait K, but looks a little lacking in colour on her face, looks like she has no nose.
WOW stunning portrait, love the lighting and soft color tones
beautiful, I think Mike should calibrate his monitor, no lack of colour or definition on my monitor
This is very good indeed.
I love those big softbox catchlights.
I might have tried to soften the skin down a bit. Perhaps adding some smart blur to the blue channel would work quite well.
OK I knew these eyes were yours, not seen very often but when they are, POW. You are one beautiful woman K and should reallly upload more self portraits, we all know the kids are a great bunch and you photograph then so well but sometimes we adults want something where we can sit back and say WOW! Going by the highlights the softboxes are working a treat and have brought out all that fine detail in these sultry eyes. OK said enough I'm off, still working away but feeling a lot better for seeing this.
Take care LUV VICTOR XX
Great eyes, good portrait
Beautiful image, the eyes are stunning
fantastic image, great skin tones, composition and crop
She looks familiar somehow...
BTW do you realise you uploaded this in adobe RGB?
Oooh thanks folks and especially to Victor, but its not me, this time, its a model called Jasmine but thank you for the compliment
Good shot K. I sort of wish I hadn't posted the goldfinger one now (linked to above by Boyd). Yours looks much cleaner. She's got great eyes as, I'm sure, anyone who saw her on our stand at Focus will agree.
Crikey! Thanks Pete! I must go through my old files more often LOL. Thanks everyone for all the comments, much appreciated. Jules I'll try you're suggestion I've not heard of that before, thank you. K.
Simply excellent work, K!
Thank you for allowing me to play with your image.
Great stonrg composition the eyes really draw you in
Thought I'd just have a go myself, and to be honest, although there is a lot of noise on the blue channel, (not unusual), softening it doesnt really make that much difference to the end ressult, so all in all, I think you should be more than happy with your picture as it is.
Thanks Jules for taking time to do that and thanks all for the comments and Roy for the mod too. K.
Lovely portrait.Actually, very good one.I like her expression...
Top notch. Love those eyes. Superb crop and framing, too.
Super portrait, great angles in this one, of the hairline, nose, jawline, and those eyes are fabulous.
Lovely shot. Nice eye contact.
lovely portrait,beautiful eyes
Nice eye clarity and expression.
Lovely portrait, the eyes look great.
Great eyes. Well done.
It's much more than 'OK'
Gorgeous. Not much more to say really.
Lve the tight crop K, she's beautifully lit too.
Quality work, K ...
The eyes are juts stunning, K. I love the pose and expression too. The only thing that niggles a little is the line fo the nose. Seems to lack some definition, and it gets 'lost' a bit in the rest of the face. but noone else seems to have mentinoned it - so it's probably just me.
Hope you're well - paths haven't crossed for a while...
Nothing like shooting yourself in thefoot.....I stand by every word K, but have to admit I do think she looks like you, I trust this is the same model as in WARNING, which I also thought was you!. Right woman get me out of this hole now, get the camera out, hit the self timer and get the mug shot up here quick!!LOL Had the magnifier out to check your eyes out on the PF page photo....hmm, still think your a stunner. Right I'm off now before this hole gets any bigger.
LUV VICTOR XXX
LOL Victor! I'll see what I can do.
Hiya Steve! It was lit with the intention of creating no shadow etc. and this had the effect of minimising the nose, bless her she is a stunner but has quite a prominent bridge so I thought by not drawing attention to it her eyes may stand out more but it probably has had the opposite effect ;-0 Nice to see you again and thanks everyone for all your comments off to find Victor a shovel to help him fill this hole in ....
LOL K - well in that case - my response indicates your technique has worked...
What can I say that hasn't already been said....Nothing I reckon, so I'll just shut up and admire it a little longer....
Nice one K, but im not sure about the green in the shadow areas? under chin and hair!
but what the heck its a great image.
Great lighting and angle, K
Just for Victor, THIS is the (nearly) real K!!
(Bet you'd forgotton about those hadn't you!! LOL!)
Well, actually this was your original
LOL Matt! How could I forget that, oh happy days
Thanks for all the comments folks, much appreciated. K.
Wow, what a difference with the pics Matt linked to - quite the makeover! Good shot, K, really. And congrats - well deserved HC.
stunning portrait, love the lighting and soft color tones.
Good god woman tell me where Matt stays and I'll be right round there with a Glasow Kiss LOL.
Cheered my day up no end Matt.
LOL! The animated version is even better...
Haha! Try this one Victor - the animated version :o)
(Wish I had time for more of these!!)
Couldn't resist a small "eye" mod. Think I created an unintentional colour shift too (whoops!)
Thanks Matt for the mod, how did you do that?! You should write more techniques for Pete.
Still love that animated version the best LOL
Thank you Sten
Not going to say much other than WONDERFUL!
OK last comment, promise, Matt must be the medication but I'm rather moved by these pouting lips and crazy eyes, now where did I leave the straight jacket, got a nice shiney one, quality craftmanship, honest, if you want one K. LOL!!
K, out of interest, can you remember how big and how far waway those softboxes were?
Victor I've already got one, Pete supplies them with the moderator badge
Jules I think I was about 3 ft from the lights and they are huge, but I also used a tri reflector.
Nicely done, like the slight highlight on the nose which seems to add shape to the face.
Im thinking of making a tri reflector; anyone have some details and dimensions?
A gorgeous image, the lighting perfect. I wish I could get it right!! well done.
Thank you everyone. K.
Wow the detail in those big eyes is amazing ! Love the pose too ........................ click*
Thank you Lorraine. K.
I'm with Mike on this one...it does look like she has no nose.
That aside, a very well lit portrait
Superb! great detail where it matters and great skin tone.
