Description: Took this last year with a 3 pix camera, I've always liked this and uploaded a black and white version but it did appear flat. Thought I'd give the colour one a rework and upload at 1000 pix, not sure how its going to look. It was taken with just window light and today I've been at home and sunlight was filling the house, reminded me that studio lights sometimes are superfluous when nature can sometimes provide better.

Good point about natural light. I liked the B&W version but agree that its a bit flat compared to this shot. Its an excellent composition *click*
You can't beat good old nature to light your subject. This has quality written all over it.

Beautiful portrait, you have managed to capture that look of "innocences " that only children have.
This little chap will break a few hearts when he is older.

Pete everyone is qualified, no opinion is considered 'unqualified' in my book, thank you.
Matt, cant wait for more light and thank you.
Sharon, thank you you've just summed it up nicely. K.
Nice detailed portrait, - natural light is great.
I wonder about heavy black frames in people portraits, - not just here, but in general, - I find they can look like those old "Im memorium" pictures that I used to see as a kid.
Mybe IM just morbid!
