...well almost! Breaththrough, camera settings correct, lighting correct, got some sharp pictures, some not so sharp, some bizarre expressions and out of 20 technically OK I get one I can play with! Happy bunny this morning. Wasnt going to bore you with another pic of Alex but she made me put this one up, she likes it hope you do to. Any comments greatly appreciated.

Lovely portrait. I'm not normally up at this time in the morning, so have a very early (for me) click.
Jules
Blimey! That was quick! Thank you so much everyone and an Atlas Award too. K.
Good gentle colours and as for the face... well, heaven, I'm in heaven...
David
Well, I think we're all glad she made you up this one!
Like the high key treatment and the colour works well. Lovely angle and comp! √ΜΛЯΚ
Morning K, well here we are confidence showing on her face and the smile can be seen in those big gorgeous eyes, know wonder she wanted this one posted.
Lighting perfect, model perfect, photographer perfect what more can I say.
Have a nice day.
Luv Victor
I am so envious (in a good way!)... you have a real talent for portraits (well, photography in general acutally). This is a cracker - she is a gorgeous looking girl and you defnitely bring that to your pictures. Top work!
Edited to ask: Where do you get your inspiration for the composition etc of your shots "from me 'ed" or do you study others? I'm certainly going to nick, I mean, seek inspiration from your shots but I'd be interested to hear how you do it. Ta. ![]()
This is fantastic. She has such a beautiful face and this effect shows off stunning eyes and great hair brilliantly. Well shot, beautiful. Must be clicked. More! And looking at your profile pic, it's obvious where she gets her beauty. Glad she twisted your arm to put this up. G.
My goodness, thank you all so much for all your comments. Just to answer your question Phil, I never take a photograph with anything in mind, I do gain inspiration from the site and very early on I did try to copy something someone did as I was very impressed, it didnt work and I gained little from it in the end, creatively or personally. I now look at every image I take and play with it until I achieve something I'm happy with. Sometimes, I get an instant reaction to an image and try and build on that. I'm jabbering now so I'll just say thank you again. K.
Thanks so much everyone you are all so kind. K.
beautiful... I'm doing a session on monday and have been racking my brains trying to work out how to acheive that effect!! if you are feeling generous to enlighten me I would be very grateful...LOL, its a really clean beautiful shot
Its the neckline that made me want to tilt the image lol!!
Thanks everyone, no great secret to this, Alex has lightish skin anyway but just play with curves, levels, contrast and brightness till you get the look you want, it is a question of experimenting, I tried different versions of this, do have a brighter one and this has lost some sharpness on upload.
Stunning portrait, very well done, happy to give you click no 30.
Quick, me?! Taken me 7 months to get this far and still have loads to learn LOL! Thanks Mark. K.
YOur too good at this! (argh my eyes have turned green!)
Excellent series, this one is the icing on a very classy cake. A cake with tiers but not a wedding cake methinks!
Thanks Jeanie, was in two minds about posting it because it makes her look older than she is, the mum in me I guess. K.
K,
I still strive to be as good as the likes of you.
Another beautiful shot of Alex. I have to say this though after viewing my photo's and picking 2 from my trip to Venture (which was fantastic fun), they apparently take 4 months to train before they are aloud to take a single picture, but you have the technique to a t. I would love to show my pic I picked when I get them in 8 weeks!!!! but may get done for copyright rubbish.
I have posted long reply re my pic from today would love u to read it.

Sara thank you, that is a lovely message. K.
Stunning, really clever and original. Thanks for your comment on my photo earlier, feeling really down but trying to make the best of things, Jane
Works a treat. Looks like cross processed slide film. Nice one.
Oh my, I'm still stunned at the response and so very grateful for all the kind comments. Alex is chuffed to bits too! Thanks you again. K.
Such great composition, K.
She looks much older in this - probably not what you want to hear.

Nigel.
This is gorgeous K. I love the jazzy angle and as always she looks lovely. No wonder she wanted you to post it *big click*
Those eyes, she is going to break some hearts, beautiful.
Andy...
Thank you Andy, I think she will and she is barking mad as well, makes me laugh. K.
nice! the pose and look works pretty well, it is quite different from the norm though but that's good
the light can be discussed but I think it works in this shot, extremely hi-key in her face with nearly all details burned out resulting in a cool contrasty photo
great shot!

lol! Susan, did you know when I first joined I looked at your photography as someone to look upto, and I still do. I'm in awe of so many on here. Thank you. K.
It is for me a bit to light....but the eyes...are great. I like it.
Carsten
I can't really think of anything that hasn't been said before, but let me just say that I like it a lot. The effect you have chosen works a treat.
Great work, as ever
Marcus
