Was hoping to get out at the weekend for the snowdrop season but it rained all day, this one's from my garden. I wanted to try and capture as much as the sheen on the petals as I could.
Oh and I will be doing more smoke because I like doing it, got some huge cones I want to try.

Excellent shot! Great composition with wonderful detail, texture, and colors. Wonderful work on the frame as well! ![]()
Hey K, how do you get the black bg?
Do you:
a) pluck the poor thing from its stem and take to the studio
b) stick a black bg behind it in the garden...
c) PS it to pieces?
Just curious
Great shot ![]()
Cheers,
Ewan
Thanks very much everyone for all your comments and to Pete for the HC.
Ewan I'm afraid I murdered it and took it into the studio, the background would otherwise be a driveway, blame the rain at the weekend I was planning to take some au natural, mind you I have got one with a black background that I took under a tree, no manipulation, way back in my portfolio. K.
Whatever happened to "No flowers were harmed in the making of this picture"...? ;-(
Never mind, not only photographers must suffer for a good shot, and this is indeed a good one. Elegant flower and subtle lighting, good composition - I wouldn't have expected it any other way from you, of course. Good job!
