Good use of space, K, which helps to concentrate the interest.
Effective angle to take this picture.
Love the idea of'Little Girl in a BIG world' !
I think that is what is portrayed ??
Great angle and I like your use of space in this composition.
Thanks all, yes the space was deliberate to try and portray exactly that Alan. K.
great image and capture, very well composed
looks like she must have been belle of the Ball, K?!
brilliant, doesn't attract the eye as a thumbnail but the image is super, great us of space, you are so lucky to have such a beautiful girl on tap as a model...........always love to see your images brightens my day !!
It's those boots again! LOL!
Excellent image, K
Taken at just the right angle to emphasise the size of A vs. the space. Great composition,K.
p.s. Does she sleep in the boots too ? (edit - cross-post with Matt!)
Great shot K. Congrats on the HC.
A good shot well done click
Great mood captured on the face. (click)

Sheer class again K...excellnt captur
Excellent shot! Great composition and well deserved HC.
Very very different Karen, well done. PAul
Hello K - Yes agree with all about the good use of space
Thanks all for the comments and Pete for the HC. Ran the risk of uploading this without Alex's permission, her face when she saw it though was a picture in itself, another one to print off! LOL
Love the angle and the use of space. Very good shot.
Excellent lighting, composition and expression. Well done K!!!
Excelente composicin e iluminacin..Click.
Thanks so much. K.
Beautifully done and congrats on the award, well deserved! Spot On! Click!!!
superb work! and i just love those boots!
This is a nice portrait - it says 'isolation' to me. And a click for that.
But, I'm a big Steven King fan - not sure if you are. My first thought seeing this picture was the book Fire Starter.
Good work, though and congrats on the EC and RC
Hi K, much as I think this is yet another super shot I would have liked to see you sitting there, feel that it would have a different sort of impact emotionally speaking, hope you know what I mean. As it is it she looks rather sad and her youth does not give this the impact and adult such as yourself would have given it.
Oh I'll shut up now, work and family problems abound this week been away to long and need to talk.
Still classy as always, just like yourself.
Have a great weekend.
Sorry nearly forgot well done on the EC
Think its all been said, she looks lost in all that space and its great. click
Not my sort of shot as a rule but I really like this well done on your award congrats
Thanks everyone, hate to say it though its an HC not an EC, but I can dream . Victor no worries, hope all is well, might do that picture for you one day. K.
Nice picture well thought out, the big space does make the little girl look vulnerable and helpless. It arouses the protective instinct. Excellent.
LOL a picture paints a thousand words. Excellent work.
Nicely done K. Love the use of black space. Well done on the HC *click*
Me again K, now its an RC so there, and look forward to that photo sooner rather than later LOL.
take care Luv Victor
The use of space and the angle combined with her outfit all work so well together. A superb portrait. Well done on the HC.
HIYA.......bin a bit busy of late .... hows you ?little miss top notch photographer //// i'll catch up soon ... gonna have a go at the mod tho ../// back soon
Sheer class K!!!
Very well done K. I was looking at a site and I thought about your photographs. You might get some ideas there. Take a look at "BLENDS" for a start, reminded me of your work right off. Cheers.
I like it...clicked
this makes a sad figure of isolation and unhappyness - her face and posture and because of the darkness all around her. well caught and expressed
One word K, Quality.
Thank you all so very much for all the comments, my apologies for not thanking you sooner, I try to get away from the PC at the weekends. Denny I had a quick look at that site, very inspiring, given me a few ideas now, all your fault! lol Victor, I'll work on it . Thank you all again. K.
Excellent and class, K love the isolation of the subject and the use of space.
So so good. Thats all I can say.
A great portrait K. Hope she had a great time at the party.
great great great!!!
Thanks all so very much. K.
Great shot. Love the black space too. Debbie.
You've been busy, fantastic shots and excellent production as always. this is a smasher and says so much about teeny boppers. super job!
Had a bit of a back click, sorry for the lack of comments but I'm over my head with work at the moment.
Super shot, K it brought to mind the following lines from an old Janis Ian song -
"For those of us who new the pain, of Valentines that never came."
Simple and striking - like it K.
Thanks all very much for your comments. K.
Beautiful shot and work
Thanks Don. K.
good shot. love it. click x
Just catching up K - this is really good. The sense of space is outstanding.
LOL at Fred's mods!
Thanks all K.
Wow, I'm sure I looked at this photo a month or so ago and didn't like it enough to click. But it seems to have improved with age! :-P
How do you find the Pentax? My film camera is a Pentax K1000 which I've dragged all over, so I have a couple of K-mount lenses I'd love to keep using. Doug
Thanks Doug, its one of my favourites .
I find the Pentax OK, but then I've not experienced another make yet. I do get frustrated with the colours, reds expecially seem to be too contrasty and you really need to think about exposure because of it. I'd like to compare it to a Canon, side by side just to see what difference, if any there is. But it is easy to use and its fabulous for portraits, not so keen on using it for outside work but that might be because I'm still not sure what to do with landscapes LOL. Thanks for stopping by. K.
What more can I add. Simply stunning !
Thank you David. K.
Great picture, Little girl lost, springs to mind.
Thank you. K.
