I realise this is faaarrrr from perfect but distracting backgrounds, rain (all day!), fiddetgy and often rude spectators, lots of misfires, heavy lens ... blah... 
This is from a Napoleonic reenactment at Woollaton Hall at the weekend, really good despite the rain and probably one of the best organised I've seen to date.

Brilliant shapes and patterns that almost make this abstract, yet its still real. excellent.

This is the sort of image I was wanting to create. I realise that I had too small a focal length and too far away for graet clarity. I will expect miracles.
