I'd headed up towards the Roaches where there was a bit of snow lying on the ground and went for a sunset afterglow shot at Mermaid Pool. As I'm taking a few shots, this couple leave their car in wet suits, apologise for the fact they were going to disturb the water and head down to go for a swim! This was about as far as they got before heading back out, it must have been almost freezing - you can see some of the patches of ice at the edge of the pool. So for once the Mermaid Pool almost lived up to its name.
