I took this lovely yellow flower the other day in my garden, it's growing all alone and I have no idea of its name. I didn't plant anything where it grows so can only assume the seed was delivered by a bird or the wind.

Sunflower !

When it is finished cut off the head, leave to dry and then secure it in a tree/bush so birds can feed from it in the winter.
