Detail of one of the many great colour combinations to be found at the village of Portmeirion, Wales. Liked the combination of cyan/mustard and the contrasting textures.

Levels, curves, saturation tweak and resize in PS. The large version works best if you can manage it.

Comments and criticism of all varieties welcome. Smile

Good to see you back Steve and "firing on all cylinders"!
I was about to say that this is one shot that doesn't work in mono - but I was wrong, works a treatSmile
Imaginative shot - good stuff.

Thanks Nicholas - not had the camera out much recently, and this was a great place to start again. It was like putting on a pair of comfy old slippers Smile

Thanks Richard - perhaps kicking out a bit of smoke after a jump start, may be Wink A short reappearance followed by a holiday break, but back a bit more frequently now I hope - will be trying to catch up with what I've missed!

Hadn't thought of mono (not surprisingly!!) - will have a look.

great colours and composition, when I went there is bucketed down with rain all day and the camera didn't see light of day :-( seems you were luckier.

Just added a mono mod Steve - I would have like to get the highlights down a bit before converting but you can see the potential...

Thanks Noe, Ester.

Richard - I really like that - the texture contrasts work very well. I've got room for manouevre on the poriginal as far as highlights are concerned, as its a stop underexposed - so I'll give it a go.

Thanks Smile
