A third from Portmeirion. The combination of diffuse sun through this porthole, and the reflective blue paint caused a weird glow, which I thought was quite atmospheric.

Large version shows it off better if you can manage it.

Comments and criticism of all varieties welcome.

I like the simplicity and bold 'Mediterranean' colours.

there's no accounting for taste Steve, I blame the TV for people being too prosaic and having little sense of the poetic!

Not sure about the poetic - looks more like the gateway to an icy version of HellWink
Just goes to show that half (more?) the art in a picture is down to the viewer i.e. we can knock 'em out but most of the art is created by who's viewing it - sobering thoughtSmile
Thought provoking image Steve!

Thanks fellas and Moira Smile

I agree entirely that half the appeal is with the viewer. I'm happy to accept a lot of my stuff (sometimes) appeals to a small minority. It doesn't raise an immediate emotion.

Not surprisingly (and I do this myself all the time) - if someone has done the interpretative work for you, by presenting a 'finished' image, then I guess that makes for an easier life.

Now I've lost myself......Wink

I like this. Simplicity, colour and an alement of mystery as the presentation somehow makes it look like it's on the floor.
