You are right Nick, Somehow the photo looks darken than the original, i think because of compression when uploading.

I was surprised by the response on this photo. because I really like this photo, regardless over exposure on the boat, i think there is different tonal on the trees. thank you all for the comment and the mod,

Zebra crossing

It is good. the mod by Pam and Willie made the zebra more stand out. Post processing is needed because the result image from the camera is not sharp, even when look at in camera, they looks fine. but truely is not.

hi sophie. i like this. you need sharpening this and boost the contrast and add a little more saturation. it is better if you upload to critique gallery, where there are a lot of people will help you. i guarantee within 6 months you will be better. and that's happen to me.

Plymouth Harbour Front

Good sugestion from Erick. I hope you are using tripod, 1/52 can caused blur. I am using s2950 and you can get sharpness starting from f7 on scene like this, i believe s4230 not much different.

So, in the future. I suggest you to zoom a little to get at least f5 to giving you sharpness.
Usually in the low light as this. I use shutter speed mode and choose faster shuttter speed where i think, i can handle without tripod (usually minimum 1/80) and zoom a little.

I wonder if you doing denoise on post processing, because iso 800 giving you a lot of noise on my camera and added sharpness is a must. And i see The horizon is not straight, you can straight it in your image editor.

In my mod I have cloned out the tin can at the LH roof prop as well as the bit of protruding roof section of corrugated iron bottom right. I hope you think it is an improvement,

but in actual fact i would have liked to ahve seen somebody standing by the lean-to, just at the Lh side toa dd a little more interest.
