Had the opportunity to go to Cuba this February on business. Not much free time but did manage to wander some of the backstreets of old Havana where I got this shot.

The street was pretty dirty and this figure in his cell/house attracted my attention. This is my first ever attempt at conversion to mono (managed to get CS2 last month!). Thought it would suit the subject.

Think Iam generally switched on but computers do my head in...that said I am pleased at the overall effect.

Doorway, figure and surrounding stonework are superb, but personally I'd crop off the left most third of the image and straighten up the verticals slightly. A very fine image though.

some great textures and the figure in the doorway is excellent.

Thanks for the feedback. DaveU really appreciate the mod (1st one I've had done!) I like it .... you are quite right about the verticals but I was in a hurry and as a newcomer to photoshop I was unable to sort it quickly.
