Abbey interior, self explanatory really - I have hardly done anything to this picture apart from resize. I have to say I was more interested in the architecture than the windows on this occasionWink

Many thanks for all c/c's on yesterdays Cloisters always appreciated thank you

V2 is another part of the inside I forget how to straighten the verticals if anybody can tell me - I used shiftn this time

With these captures Ann you have to expose for the highlights, then bring back detail in the shadows in Photoshop, the light is burnt out and very little can be done to recover the detail for blown highlights.

Regards

Trev.

Well your exposure may not be as it should be BUT I really like the composition in v1 including the figures and the wonderful colours in that floor SmileSmileSmile

The hard light has made it difficult and your uprights are only just off Ann, not bad at all.

Good bit of curvy stonework here Ann.
And as I cannot keep myself straight,
I have no chance of telling you how to straighten a pic !!

I think without merging two exposures it would be difficult to get detail in the window areas, but to me it doesn't matter, the rest of the scenes work well, and like the inclusion of the figures in V1 Wink

Shame about the windows in v2, but v1 is a far stronger composition for me. Excellent arches within arches and a well-framed man.

I think you have handled the light well here Ann, the windows may be blown but they are not important to the image so iI don't think it matters that much.
