Not sure why you should see so much difference between lightroom and PS (I only use CS3 and between the RAW converter and the main program there isn't much difference) I wonder if it is to do with the preferences you have set in Lightroom and PS. Looking at the original photo it looks like the exposure has favoured the sky which is why the land looks a bit dull. You've corrected this in you PS work, but in doing so you have blown some of the highlights above the hills and lost detail in the clouds. If you use adjustment layers in PS (levels etc) to sort out the exposure then you can paint black directly on the the layer mask (click on the layer mask to do this) and it will cancel out the effect of levels in areas you don't want it. This would bring the detail back into the sky. I'll see if I can do a mod to show
