A 180 degree turn from my last upload, Branscombe Beach 2, and I saw this row of beach huts glinting in the late afternoon sun. V2 shows another, more distant, row of huts lit up in the same way.
Thanks as always for taking an interest in my uploads ![]()

this light is gorgeous! outstanding!
superb sunset scene
Hi Theresa, a great pair of images, I find both have great qualities and so its hard to choose between them, but I think V2 just wins, a sliver of golden light, which allows the imagination to run riot, are they beach huts, or a line of highly polished Roman shields? ok I rant, but superb images. Top notch
Thank you everyone for your comments.
marktc - I love your imagination ![]()
. I have to say that though I instinctively felt V1 would be the popular choice, I do prefer V2 - it has an almost desolate remoteness about it, a tiny wavering line of huts set against the towering cliffs, much more atmosphere, I feel.
Theresa
Both are beautifully atmospheric, I think I would favour V2 if it wasn't for those cars on the road, they spoil the rhythm of the huts a bit. Great use of special light.

I agree there, Moira - they seem to show up more on here than on the original file for some reason and I did think I should have cloned them out....

Two beautifully atmospheric images Theresa, great composition and light.

Two great, and different captures. v1 is all about the beach huts and the light on them. v2 is a lovely, well composed landscape where the beach huts provide a balance for the sunset and add detail to the cliffside. Both superb images, Theresa, and for me are not comparable.

I am torn between the two ... think the vote will go to V2... just!
Two superbly captured images Theresa, both amazing, however it's V1 that really appeals to me today.

Two beautiful evening shots, Theresa - think if I'd to choose, V1 would just win it for me ![]()
