Thank you all for your interest in my Lavender's Blue upload.... and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to LexEquine (Peter) for his UA on my Cosmos image, a lovely surprise this morning
.
Today I have another couple of views of the gardens at Dartington Hall, home of my Shadowland upload.
V1 is a view of the High Meadow, where I'm told there is a beautiful flowering crabapple, but we were too late for this!
V2 shows an oblique view of the edge of the 'Tiltyard' (the sunken lawn featured in Shadowland), in front of the Hall, and you can see the topiaried yew trees on the right (more clearly seen in Shadowland) - these are known as the Twelve Apostles for reasons unknown
.
Thanks for looking.
I'm going out shortly - a photography outing with my daughter who's just taken up this wonderful hobby! So I'll be visiting you all later today ![]()

Two wonderful garden images here Theresa, beautiful colours.
Carol
Excellent composition in both, especially the use of the curves in V1 and the richly-varied tones of the treess and shrubs.
Bill
Looks a wonderful peaceful place, Theresa. Two super images, very nicely captured ![]()

V1 is particularly good, a winding path inviting us to explore, but at our leisure.
Moira
So glad to hear about the outing !
ENJOY !
V1 for my vote today
Very beautiful gardens and very well captured in this shot.
Steve.
This looks so lush and green and I love that winding path in V1.
We had a 15 minute burst of rain yesterday - I went out and stood in the street and got soaking wet - wonderful ![]()

The wandering route through v1 appeals most, Theresa. It reminds me of a golf fairway on a particularly difficult hole. Fantastic range of greens for the eye to absorb.
Malc
Two lovely images Theresa, for me it has to be V1, it looks so tranquil, a really lovely place to while away the hours.
Hugh
Two lovely garden scenes! Wonderful colours and composition! Beautiful!
Cheers
Phil
Hi Theresa, how are you? sorry I have missed so much of your beautiful work. Where is this lovely place? You have captured so beautifully as usual very pleasing to the eye. I am looking forward to my trip home to England in October and hopefully getting to meet some of my friends from the site
