I'm still going through images from my visit to Buckland abbey with Kate a week or so ago. The gardens are lovely this time of year, so here are some of their geraniums, which I hope you'll like.

Sorry for just clicking the last couple of days, but we've had such a lot to do preparing for our holiday next week. Thanks for your comments and clicks on my Seed Designs and thanks for stopping today, I do appreciate it, really Smile

Two beautiful images of the geranium, Theresa, with V 2 standing out for me as the bloom and it's neighbouring dependent bud occupy a larger portion of the frame, but it's a close call......think it will need to be half a vote per image.
Ronnie.

Two exceptionally lovely images, Theresa.
Until very recently I thought all geraniums were red, because (a) that's what my mum liked, and (b) A.A. Milne wrote a poem called The Dormouse and the Doctor which includes them. My field identification is pretty much non-existent Smile

Well, to aid your field ID just a little, Bill, the red geraniums your mum liked were almost certainly not geraniums, but pelargoniums. Real geraniums are entirely different and are often referred to as cranesbill. I have no idea how the mix-up in identity occurred but the mistake seems to have taken root quite firmly, if you'll excuse the pun Wink. And I love A.A. Milne, so thank you for the poem Smile.

Wonderful portraits of this geranium, looks like a Johnson's Blue. I especially like the way you have composed v2, excellent study.

Yes, I would agree this is the Johnson's Blue, though it wasn't identified at the Abbey gardens.
