Sorry this is a really boring flower shot. I was hoping to do something more exciting after not uploading for just over two months!
1/2000 sec
F/8
ISO 50
Lighting was just a small slave flash fired behind sheet of white Perspex.
The flower is a Chrysanthemum stood in a crystal vinegar bottle thingy and some green food colouring in the water to add some colour to what would otherwise have been a totally colourless image.
:o)

The Man is Back!! Of course, I'm hoping it was my recent message on your last upload that encouraged you to return, but that would be too vain of me. :o)
Boring? This? Get away, Rob - there ain't nothing boring about this. The work you've applied to it in terms of lighting and colouring is absolutely superb. An inspired and beautifully executed image.
Wish I could do boring shots like this, lovely simple image
Christine
No. As flower shots go, this one is quite good! Good idea, well shot.
Can't believe you have a crystal vinegar bottle! Congrats on the photo on the cover of FPME by the way! Jane
beautiful something very sensual in its simplicity, love the lighting in the foreground..
Happy festive season

wish my boring shots were this good ![]()
Good to see you back and congrats on the FPME cover - looks fantastic.
Chris
Thankyou all very much for the welcome back :o) I will try and keep up with it in future.
MattieW the lighting was a very small (PORTAFLASH AC STUDIO SLAVE FLASH 208W) triggered by a nearby softbox.
Thanks Jane and Chris! I'm very lucky to have my image on the cover of FPME I think. They've printed the wrong shooting info in the mag, but i'm not going to worry about that too much. Can't complain! :o)
Thought it was a Christmas cocktail shot.... ![]()
Happy Christmas, Rob!
