Hi Neighbour,

I don't know why but this one isnt grabbing me much. I can't decide if its because both the ducks and the vapour trail are trying to get out of the image or if it is just a tad too warm.

Now I'm not sure if its just the border that is putting me off. I think I'll take it into PS and see if I can work out what I think.

Nice comp, love the soft lighting and the mist coming off the water. Of course I really like the fact that there are birds in the shot! Spot on! Click!!!

Very nice, Rob, Really like the colours and the calm feeling of this shot!! It's amazing to me that, with the specs you've provided, that the ducks are still crisp! - 1/4 second - I thought they'd be blurry.

Ade, unfortunately that part of the sky always seems to have vapour trails in it Sad I'll have to have a go at removing it I think.

Edit: Mike I have just checked the spec and it is actually 1/30 sec, sorry about that, was just being lazy and copied the data of the last one thinking it would be about the same :o)

Rob, This is a gem. Nothing in it distracts or works against it, in my view. The vapour trail is actually balanced quite well by what appears to be a faint line in the water, while the ducks, though not an essential ingredient, fit in very comfortably. As for that mist and the light in the sky....sublime. Well worth getting up for!

Reminds me a little of my -
'Water colours' or my
