Do you remember Bubble Tubes? This is one of those little plastic fish from one of those tubes but now in a tank ![]()
This is a re-work of █YESTERDAYS█ image thats is now deleted and uploaded as a mod. I have brightened and boosted the yellow. Thanks to all who clicked and commented on yesterdays, I will promise to catch up with you all later tonight. I just had to try and figure out what was wrong with the last one. Maybe it's just not a good image and got what it deserved? Thanks everyone ![]()

This was set-up in a 16 x 8 inch glass tank. The back of the tank had a sheet of white Perspex taped to it, and a slave flash with a blue balloon stretched over it to give the graduated blue colouring to the back lighting. The slave flash was approx three inches from the Perspex, and was triggered by a softbox a few feet from the front of the tank.
The plastic fish was lit by the softbox at the front but wasn't really close enough to light it well, so shadow highlight tool was used to enhance the look of the fish. I did try a snoot on the fish but it didn't give me the result I wanted.

How could anyone not love this! Fantastic job of lighting this.
Paul
Thanks Luis, Paul and Nic ![]()
I guess it's times like this that you find out what people really think of you and your work...and who your real friends/supporters are on the site...If only they would bother to look and read the description properly.
This is a vast improvement on those yellows Rob,I did like yearterday's image but your re-work has paid off.
I could see this as a set of tiles for a bathroom, you know, ones that are dotted around within the plain ones,a shower curtain..or even a jigsaw puzzle, the blues would be a challenge there!
Good work & an extra sticker too..well done you!
Janet
congrats on the HC, i liked yesterdays but prefer this one as the fish is alot lighter, and love the way the bubbles are concentrated on the right hand side of the image
samantha
Thank you all very much indeed, and sooo glad to see that some people were kind enough to take another look at this brighter more cheerful version ![]()
Janet, you've made me smile, but I don't think anyone would buy them if they were printed on tiles, but the jigsaw sounds good! I was thinking beach towel or shower curtain...or how about on a one piece swimsuit Lol!
well done!... the mod does make the difference!... and a sticker to boot!!... ![]()
Yes works better - obviously Pete likes the shot
- can't keep his finger off the HC button - quite right too
good varigated light
Dave
Nothing wrong with this, a bit of humour and perfect "O2" bubbles.
Only fault I can see is its an HC when it should be an EC I recon ![]()
Chris
You do make me smile! Well thought out and executed, as ever! Jane
Yse, this one looks much better. It is brighter with more detail and contrast. Sometimes after I upload to EPZ I realize that I have to do exactly the same thing.
Patrick
nice lighting/vibrant color, and the bubble detail is very nice. well done.
