Thanks to all who took the time to look and/or comment on Rules of Photography. Thanks also for some fun modifications from David (DeSilver) and Malc (satireblue). I had quite a chuckle when I saw them.

A group of 24 Texas Longhorns belonging to Gil Dean, of Bastrop, are herded along the San Gabriel River during the Williamson County Museum's "Up the Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive & Chuckwagon Cookoff". Taken on September 18, 2010.

More will follow in this series.

Except for the movies have never seen longhorn cattle, they're certainly well named! In my futile search for the bg feature in the first of your promised series, I had forgotten your invite for mods, went back and had a laugh too!

Our Highland cattle are mere beginners compared with that giant corkscrew on the right!
I like your crop, it underlines the breadth of the cattle's headgear.

An impressive show of the breed. I never realized that some of them have that mottling coloration. Reminds me of Appaloosas.
