Film scan. One of my favorite places near here. The house is a typical Texas shack, with a wonderful colourful brick chimney. The property has been bought by big business/Texas Crushed Stone - the whole area is now dotted with "No Trespassing" signs. Sad Bah!

Thanks for looking,

Anne

A fine shot Anne.
It makes me want to dust down my Pentax ME Super and stick a roll of Ilford HP4 through it.
(If you can still get it that is !!)
Mick.

I actually had a look on the net out of curiosity.
and was rather surprised at the big film range they have.
Reckon film must be making a bit of a ''comeback'' !!

We have a pro store downtown Austin, that's where I get my film. A comeback wouldn't be all that bad. some days my eyes need a rest from razor sharp...............Tongue Go for it Mick!

Looks an interesting place, glad you got this before the signs went up Anne! As to film, would have loved to go back to messing around in a darkroom again, but it's too late now!

Works so well. In Scotland we have the opposite probelm as the members of the public have "the right to roam" anywhere! Expecting tourists to picnic on the front lawn some day soon!!

Ann

Wow love this! The place must be beautiful as your wonderful picture suggests. Does it look the same now (apart from the "no trespassing" signs?

This has the quality blacks that digital rarely achieves. We sometimes think wistfully of the old days, the dark room in our last house. Not sure our backs would cope with standing there any more.
A wonderfully evocative image, in several ways.

This was not taken too long ago - still have my ME and some Tri-X in the fridge. It still looks the same - I shot above the no trespassing signs posted on the fence. I hate to think what it will look like when they do start ripping vegetation out of the ground.

As being brought up with B&W film, Tri-EX infact I still have a great fondness for that media and had great fun doing my own processing, grain and all !

Wonderful work.

'Love the processing, texturing, & toning,' Anne, on this beautiful monochrome scenic Home image rendering~

The fine grain reminds me a vintage B&W film print~ Smile

Just checked "the parameters," & see that, indeed, You used film with a 28 mm lens & a vintage Pentax ME Super, Anne~ GrinTongueWink

I love my ME Super, too...Would never part with it. No Way~~~

Film gives one 'a textured Image,...that sometimes 'Digital "can not" reproduce~~~

I will be trying out my old Yashica Lynx 5000 & Yashica Electro 35 Rangefinders,...very Soon~

Ciao~ Peter

if it weren't for the cactii, I'd say it look like the small farms round here. like the pictures that people find in their shoe carton, and all of a sudden you come across such a touching beauty!
