Thanks to those of you who took the time to look and/or comment on One. Much appreciated.
This was shot in the morning, in Bergen, Norway. KUBE was still on the square then. Art in Public Places - KORO commissioned this sculpture from Bård Breivik. The sculpture has now been moved to Oslo; permanently installed there in it's separate sections, at the Institute of Informatics at the University of Oslo (IFI2). I'm hoping Malc (satireblue) will upload some photos of the individual sections one day!
The sculpture was produced in China, the areas that protrude, were all hammered out manually. The pieces are welded together. Each panel measures 7x6 meters = the number 42. Each panel weighs 600 kilos.
The sculpture materializes digitial photos that represent mathematical equations: Orion's Belt, High C, Doppler Chamber Tone A, and Fractals.
Thanks for looking and make it a great day.
Anne

A wonderful composition and capture, Anne, those shadows really add to the scene, too ![]()

Like your timing with this Anne, some good info too.
As a suggestion have you looked at a crop in from the bottom with this perhaps around 1.5" which would focus you more on the sculpture, or you could go for a square crop which would also work well, but you would lose a lot of the shadow with that.
Just a suggestion
Regards Richard

Thanks for the suggestion and your input Richard. I'll take a look at a crop. I was out that morning specifically to get early shadows, then the bicyclist entered the scene - serendipity.
excellent work with the shadows, I got a glimpse of the fractal as well.
