I love black and white images - these days, it's my favorite medium - maybe the grim grey days have something to do with it?

Thanks for looking,

Anne

super stuff, even if it is playing havoc with my eyesight, I know how I should be looking at this but my eyes keep trying to focus the other way (if you know what I mean)

Yes, I do and that was a bit of the intent - makes you wonder initially what you are looking at.

I like so much about this, Anne -- the comp. and especially the processing. I take it this is an Agave Americana.

You are correct. Also, the Noir 3 preset with a few changes to make it my own.

Very cleverly done Anne. A large print would cause chaos hung on public wall Smile

Excellent macro, almost sensual AnneWink
Ron.

Minimal and beautiful. The essence of monochrome photography with a wonderfully balanced processing. Chapeau!

Stunning shot, I love the composition and simplicity, not forgetting the fact it's B&W which I also like very much.

I've spent longer looking at this than almost anything else this morning - less is definitely more. The precise detail of those spikes is so beautiful. But most importantly - the ambivalence of a rising diagonal that's tugging, straining leftwards.

Stunning in its simplicity,Anne. Perfectly backlit to emphasise just enough., and grainy enough to add texture.
Very, very good idea. Like it lots.

This is excellent - it took me a while to figure out what I was looking at. Like scrimmy, my eyes were taking me the "other way" first!! I always love mono - this works really well.

Thanks to those of your who have looked and commented on this image. I am on a quest - it's taking me far and wide Tongue don't know where it will end, but I am having a superb time on my way.
My only regret is not getting decent software years ago. Wink
