Good evening my lovely EPZ fellow photographers!

As promised I'm back to Japan. Nara is a beautiful place to walk around at and see interesting shrines, but admittedly after Kyoto and Miyajima island - we weren't impressed. Aside for the big Budha and the deers running freely things started to repeat themselves. That is why most of are time in Nara was spent in walking around the city and then sitting and having tea and cakes Smile
The good thing about it is that we so all kind of people - which I enjoyed picturing very much. You've seen a few from the temple, today is a sweet kid which was absolutely fascinated by the ground, and I have some characters up ahead. This cute boy had some scary looking parents so I had to pretty much point and shoot hoping no one will come and break my camera. A quick measuring of the light outside, deciding on the angle and then walking very casually next to him and shooting at the same time.
Easy right? Wink

Tomorrow I'm back at work, getting up at 6am. Oh happy days - another week another annoying customer to serve... Just kidding.
Have a great week everyone!

Love this - it's a strong composition, plus a real human story, the way small children can concentrate so hard on minute detail.

I like the way you compose the shot with the kid at top right hand side. Yes he seems fascinated by the ground and not knowing you were taking his picture. Don't think people in Asia mind if you photographing their children.

Nice work in the selective colouring, and I like the way the child "sits" at the end of the diagonal of fence/path.

Oh yes - this is a terrific image - love the comp and contrast between the colour of the boys clothing and skin tone against the muted bg colouring.

Top shot.

Wonderful candid Ayelet and beautifully presented.

Your mention of Miyajima takes me back a bit because I visited the island back in 1953 and it was so incredibly beautiful
