It's a new dawn,
It's a new day,
It's a new life - for me,
and I'm feeling good.

Well, it's certainly has been a while - how are you mates?
I'm not gonna drag you on with my previous exhausting year in university - It's a Biology degree, not much except for some germs and plants.
The exciting news are that I now own a new wonderful toy - finally! My first real DSLR - I have joined the dark side and now am a sworn Canon girl.
Small, light with a kick ass giant lens - what more can you ask for in life? Wink

Starting my second year next week, here is a quick glimpse from my very short summer vacation - a trip to Jaffa with my family. a snapshot taken from the car.

Hope you enjoy!
Ayelet xx

Cracking sunrise / sunset more likely - but think it would be improved if the 2 children on the right were actually fully in the scene.

Thank you John - indeed a sunset Wink
I agree, but as said the image was taken during a car ride so unfortunately the kids on the left (I assume that's what you meant) got cut off.

Hi Lesley! good to be back Smile
Thank you very much.

Very good shot, and hope you don't mind me saying but I'd be tempted to clone out
a) the hand on the left edge, behind the girl
b) the red dot to the side of the boy
That would make it a super shot.

Hi Ayelet good to see you!

Whatever deficits this image might have, it has a lovely feel from the silhouettes and that warm sky.

Lol, sorry Bruce, not sure what type of camera girl I am but I'm certainly a tiny one! That's mainly why I went with the wonderful rather compact 500D - no hard feelings I hope Tongue

Great to see you posting again! I can see you're enjoying your new camera — looks like a great choice, to me.

Photography from cars is difficult but can work rather well, as here, with that nice but fairly subtle streak of flare from the sun in front of the boy. You've timed it well to get him perfectly positioned in the frame. I agree that the hand that's poking in from the left-hand side ought to be cloned out and probably that little highlight behind the boy, too.
