Hello everyone!
Hope you are all doing well.

As you've probably guessed university life is proving to be very time-consuming and apparently involve a lot of work, who knew? Wink
I'm afraid the many (many) articles I have to read and the work I have to get done is simply taking all my time and I rarely get to log in to epz, not to mention to photograph, which makes me very sad.
I'm thoroughly enjoying university life and academic studies but I have to improve on my "shooting time", which is currently restricted for the weekend, and I'm afraid if I take one more shot of my cats or parents, it'd be the last shot I take lol Tongue

In any case, I've finally managed to have some free time so I can catch up with you all (but plz excuse me for clicking an running at times, as I'm eager to see all your wonderful shots but I'm also rather eager on finishing my degree Wink).

I've also finally had the time to work on previous shots from Japan, and here is one I've wanting to upload for quite a while now -
It was taken on my trip to Japan in a city named "Takayama", which there is really no other way to describe but Snowy heaven.
The city is located in mountainous area of central Honshu and was covered by fields of snow by the time we got there. The atmosphere in the city is simply magical (the falling snow can't hurt) and the beautiful alleyways with many small shops and Saka breweries (for which the city is famous for) are a delight both for the eye and mouth Smile
Certainly one of my favourite places in Japan, very recommended.

Until next time -
Have a great weekend everyone Smile

Hello, so nice to hear from you and to know your studies are going well sounds like you are working very hard and so should get a good degree.

As for this image well what can I say, it is truely magical, I love the red black and white, a winning combination, the joy of little ones (and big one's) in the snow is always a nice to see and you have captured it beautifully.

Take care, keep up the studies and drop in when ever you can. We will be here.....

Great to hear from you Ayelet and glad that you're enjoying your course even if it's taking a lot of your time; pop in when you can Smile

Love the use of the selective colouring here; as Linda says, the mono with the red makes a great combination and draws our eyes to the small lonely figure trudging along; captures a very bleak atmosphere of cold, damp and windy.

I've done a very small mod just for interest, where I've removed the signs of the snow from inside the hood - makes me feel happier to know the coat is doing it's job keeping the child cosy and warm Wink

Tim Smile

(hmmm, that didn't work as mods aren't on - give it a try and see what you think?)

We were in Takayama in 2000, didn't get any snow though. Reminds me of a great holiday. Super capture which has caught the atmosphere of the place. Enjoy your studies, we will see you when you have time to pop by!
