How have you managed to capture these very shy creatures, well done. Tracey
Super capture, Fred, four perfectly in line. Great.
Dave
Knowing how shy badgers are, you've done well to get these. How did you get so close? Outside the window/ door of a conservatory?
it's a ferensic line, dont let any slugs go un chewed lol..love the bagders.
excellent to see there nocturnal activities displayed so well
Hi col.campbell the shot was actually taken on the sett, I was either sat on the ground or a log,
Fred.
if I were to see just ONE I would be thrilled and here you have four, great shot Fred great experience as well
Beautiful composition, with the curve of the foreground mound, and the four noses snuffling towards the same point. I love this one!!!
Moira
Looks like you have them trained to line up for the shot here Fred LOL, another great shot.
Geoff.
What a wonderful line-up and terrific diagonal in the composition
Bruce
How did you manage to take the photo? Wouldn't flash send them all running for cover?
Just noticed you're in Wales; it was in Wales where I had my first and only badger sightings in Castlemartin, out on the coast. I spent a week putting leftover scraps of dinner out to try to entice them into a lit area so I could get a photo, with severely limited success! Which is why I'm wondering how you managed to get such a well-lit photo?
Hi again col.campbell in 1991 I joined Gwent Badger Group and started visiting some of the local badger setts on a regular basis, the badgers do get to accept your presence, the shutter noise and flash, the answer is visit a sett regularly, nearly all my badger shots were taken with one flashgun, a Pentax AF280T fitted on a bracket attached to the camera, please visit my badger album for more examples,
Fred.
Some pictures don’t come easy - and this is a fine example. This picture instantly got an award from me.
Top class piece of night work with 4 badgers viewed here. Smashing - no hesitation giving this an award.
Dave.
A cracking quartet Fred, I like the way they are lined up in formation
