Afternoon everyone !

Thanks for your comments & clicks on yesterday's image STRANGERS ON THE SHORE, much appreciated.

Well, nothing new with this miserable weather, so another from last Saturday's Point to Point. I seem to be in a black/white mood at the moment.

Was gutted yesterday morning to receive a speeding ticket in the mail, it had been issued on the lane coming out of the Race Course, it was only wide enough for cars to go one way, and as you can imagine we were all following at the same speed back to the main road - no sign of speed camera's, so they must have been hiding in the hedgerow somewhere. They must have had us all and made a fortune. Booked for doing 33mph in a 30mph zone.

Anyway - hope you like it !

Chris

Super shot Chris, and it sounds as if you were all stitched up regarding the speeding tickets.
Just ''easy'' money for them I reckon.
Just like the money these bookies at the racecourse make !!

Read your comments with interest, first police are not allowed to hide when using lazer guns, was there signs that speed cameras were operating, do not do anything at the moment but ask for the photographic evidence and the calibration print out for that day for that device used, then see what comes back.

About your photo excellent composition and as sharp as a pin.

Regards

Trev.

Thanks Trev - we didn't see any signs, unless we missed them, but I doubt that ! Was looking on U Tube this morning, there was a video of people being zapped for speeding from the inside of a horse box.

33 mph? How ridiculous, when others can get away with speeds far in excess of this Sad Anyway, a super capture here, Chris, excellent timing Smile

Hi Chris
The horsebox speeding was used by North Wales Police and was judged not legal in court, there is a lot of info on the net that can help you, including Solicitors giving advice, look some up!

High class action shot with superb detail. I think if it were me I'd be inclined to fight that speeding ticket, in such a situation you are compelled to maintain the same speed as all others and a ticket for 3MPH over is ridiculous anyhow!
Rgds., Jim
PS. Have just read Trev's comment, I think you'll get off!

Fantastic capture Chris, great detail and focus Wink
bloody speed cameras, i too was snapped going a mere 3mph over the limit, i claimed my speedometer was inaccurate and got away with it, but how can they do you for going with the flow of traffic? A copper once told me you are allowed go up to 10% over the limit without getting done for it! seems that does'nt apply anymore!

Fabulous shot - immaculate timing and so sharp! Love the mono treatment - the contrasts are superb.
Hope you get the speeding ticket sorted out - they really do go overboard sometimes - totally unneccesary.

"Speed cameras are never used to make money but to make the roads safer for all." Aye Right, tell that to the marines. The Welsh police seem to be keen on tactics like this, they don't have fixed cameras just mobiles.
