This is a picture of one of the turrets built into the walls of the town of Brouage in western France - it was a strategically important town historically and has strong walls all around designed to give overlapping fields of defensive cannon fire.
However, for some reason I really like this picture - other people's opinions are really invited here because I wonder if it is my memory of the place as a whole that attracts me to the picture as opposed to just this picture.
