Used a texture from Skeletalmess on Flickr to re work this image.
Works well against the background .
A perfect lily ...and perfectly presented
Beautiful image, lighting and background.
I love the background, as previously stated, it works well with the lily.
This is a lovely creation you have here Willie !! Very well done
Thanks all, and to Diggeo for the UA, appreciated!
Interesting composition, good lighting and presentation
My UA goes to Lily... When my reaction is "WOW", it means it's a UA from me. And this had that effect on me. It's simple, effective and technically flawless in my opinion. There's detail in the highlights and the shadows, the lighting looks fine and the background creates enough contrast to make this more than just an image of a flower. Well taken and composed Willie, no wonder you're a source of knowledge to many on the site. Work like this shows where your critique comes from!
A super piece of work viewed here. Love the way it enters the frame from bottom left. The lighting is first class.
Voting out of 20. I can see no reason to award less than top marks.
Wow.. Simply stunning.. Well deserving of awards
I like the light on the flower, wonderfully done. The colour is great...
Hi Willie, love the texture but the thing that makes it outstanding for me is the patch of red on lily that matches BG. Thanks for this one, Si
Brilliant clarity and lovely detailed image -ver well done......
Stunning a wonderful shot
Gorgeous image !!....
love the simplicity,
.... and how it stands out from the organic background.
(Curious ...Was it staged or natural setting ?
p.s. - I tend to like to figure out the how it's done... helps me to learn more.)
Also.. Thanks for your great critique !
explain to me how to find the modified version u made of
my "Flutterby Butterfly"
Thanks for sharing
It was staged, a studio lighting set up with a plain background, and the background was added later in Photoshop.
I did leave how to see the mod in the critique, - you scroll up your own picture page, click the Modifications tab, and you will see the mod, then clicl view large. I will also check to make sure I remembered to actually upload it!
