Took this shot today during a visit to an `open day` at the Hop Farm and Lavender Fields, Shoreham, Kent. The lavender fields are a joy to behold this time of the year.

Kristijonas,Ian,Ken,and Dianah thanks a lot for your kind comments - they are indeed appreciated.

Ken,believe it or not the bees were not troublesome today at all. It was fairly overcast most of the time which suited me fine as it gave a nice rich colour to the lavender. I could not believe the actual colour myself of this lavender field as it was so rich especially looking down on it from the road above where I was initially when I took this shot. I`m hoping to return during the week when it is quieter as there was too many people there today and get myself in to the field amongst it with my wide angle lens.

Superb colours. By mistake I saw this with the trees cropped of and thought it looked even better. Andy
