Came across this field accidentally yesterday while out driving and for a moment thought I was in France. I saw it away in the distant landscape hidden amongst other fields but eventually found my way there. Thought it was too nice to pass up on a shot.

a good effort under what looks like pretty harsh mid-day light.

Hi all,
Thanks very much for looking and for taking the time to add your comments.
Mike - actually it was 4.30 p.m. when I shot this and the sun was dropping down, but I agree still a little on the harsh side. Nevertheless, I think you would agree it was too good to pass by without trying a shot.

Lovely image - the rows of Lavender make lovely lead in lines - lovely to have such an opportunity in the UK - saves a trip to Provence ? PhilG
Beautiful lines and colors! The small grove leads the eye perfectly. This is a dreamscape!
WOW! This one really leaps out at you......Nice Shot!
A friendly suggestion, if you could get back to the field, I think it would be interesting to see it from a slightly different perspective, maybe have the camera just clear the top of the plants with two furrows leading up to the trees.

Hi all,
Thanks to everyone who clicked and left comments. This is my first time to ever get an RCA for any of my shots and I`m very pleased indeed. I`m also glad now that I took the trouble and found this field after seeing it in the distance hidden away in the landscape. I could easily have let it go as too hard to find.
Thanks again,
Ian
The smell of Lavender here must be overpowering great shot, just breath in deeply...
