o.k. .... teacher with pupil
But I am sure Alisdair wont mind being called a beast Wink
The backroom of our local pub is often used to allow his pupils to get a feel of an audience.
We have been asked to take photos for their facebook site.
Quite difficult to get the lighting right.
Though next month I am going to make a back cloth as the existing walls are well damaged.
Will also have to sort out the lighting ....

Two great documentary images Barbara. The contrast is certainly striking.

V.2 for me, Barbs, she is beautiful, certainly. I find the shadow of the mike on Alasdair's face rather distracting in V.1. Carol

Yes, Barbs, V2 for me as well. Closed eyes make a singer look soulful but the alert look is more vital.

I am sure the backdrop you make will not be orange! It's popular in pubs and clubs of a certain era and can be quite overpowering especially in close-ups.

I think it would not be the same with a backdrop Barbara, as it is! it has an atmosphere fitting to what is going on, I think they are both great and personally I would leave well alone, as I think you might just be disappointed, best regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Has to be V2 without any doubt for me. She's beautiful and the comp is spot on. The shadow on the guitarist's face I find a little offputting in V1 but with such a lovely subject, would prefer to be looking at the singer alone anyway! Grin

Great captures both, Barbara, but V2 is simply amazing. As for the damaged walls, they make for a pretty cool backdrop, I think.

Very nice. Well, I could do without that wall but I would hate to lose those old photos in the BG. They add a sense of history to the place. Somebody might want to paint that wall and then re-hang the photos.

Be careful what you do to the BG Barbara. The current location looks fine and gives a genuine and 'earthy' feel to the shots. Dont make it too'glitzy'.
