I saw these 2 dragonflies lurking in the murky waters and immediately thought of Mick. ...Wink

You can see where the aircraft designers got their idea so many decades ago, and the rest is history as they say. Tremendous work Barbara not just one but two flying in formation. Can the leave smoke trails in the sky?

Great shot, Barbs. The only variety of Dragonfly I am likely to see around here - I have one quite similar hovering above my ornamental water feature!
