Believe me ...
I was standing at the bus stop yesterday and noticed there was blossom on the crab apple tree.
Bus was coming but I quickly took some shots.
There was a really strong wind as you can see with the blue sky in V2 and the white in the other two.
Has anyone ever seen this before?

Nicely done Barbara, in answer to your question... No.... I do however have hyacinth shooting in pots in the back garden!

An excellent set of variants each depicting this gorgeous bloom. the first image certainly caught my eye with its gorgeous pastel colour, warming light and beautiful bokeh.

I do like V3 but find that red blob (Yes, I know, a Crab Apple) a little distracting so going for V1 today. Apple trees of all kinds often produce a few flowers late in the season. As they've had a bad year probably trying harder than ever to produce some fruit, which of course won't happen! As for Spring bulbs as mentioned by someone above, this is when they do their first burst in growth, then go back to sleep until Springtime. Plants are just so clever!!

Lovely set Barbara, and amazing stuffGrinGrin We have a lily in bud in a tub in the garden that was in flower in july I think. Doubt it will open, its turning soooo cold this week.
Now I really like V3 for the red bit and the white backdrop looks like snow. What a funny yearTongueGrinGrin

Excellent work Barbara and I suppose some of us would never notice the recurrence of the blossom as we take nature for granted but I will certainly be on the lookout in the next couple of days or so.

With the strange seasons we seem to be experiencing now, Barbs, it's no wonder the plants and trees don't know whether they're coming or going Smile. A wonderful set, particularly V.1. Carol

This unsettled weather has nature all confused...
last year in January I did see too many buttlerflies in my mums garden in Portugal, tottaly out of season... They appear in May not in January...
Great shots though. Very well spotted. IB

apple butter this is a jam like spread-- good on biscuits, pancakes, toast--- One makes it rather like apple sauce, add more spices, cook longer--it becomes a rich brown, thick yum!

The seasons are getting all mixed up Barbara, I've had the odd bulb attempting to sprout early and an orangetip butterfly was even sighted at RSPB Minsmere sometime last week I believe. I think these odd happenings are all down to global warming, I've some pictures I took of people sunbathing on the beach at Weston-Super-Mare taken in late March which i'll probably upload on here at some point in the future
